Martina Markota is a NYC nightlife icon, model and performance artist named Lady Alchemy. She is also owner of Magnum Opus Productions LLC.

After studying mathematics at New York University, Martina spent ten years working in the performing arts industry in New York City performing as Lady Alchemy.

 

She was a regular performer at the iconic NYC nightclub/theatre, "The Box" and was featured in "Cafeteria" ads. Cafeteria has featured iconic portraits of notable New Yorkers on their menu covers and image campaigns, Lady Alchemy and Amanda lepore among them.

 

"Contrary to some people's opinions, fashion people love to eat, especially at...Cafeteria." - Harpers Bazaar.

 

These Cafeteria ads were featured in "Interview Magazine", an iconic magazine created by Andy Warhol.  

After a brief stint working in news media, Martina is back in New York doing what she loves.

 

She published a comic book about her performing persona called "Lady Alchemy: Mutus Liber".

 

She has added photography to her resume in addition to model with her portraits featured on book covers, MTV news, and at Art Basel Miami.

Martina pioneered the vintage cooking trend back in 2018, she also streams online about Art HistoryEtiquette & Vintage Movie Nights, and the Hudson Valley Art Barn

 

Martina also interviews people on art and culture like the former singer of The Misfits, Michale Graves and creator of The Toxic Avenger, Lloyd Kaufman on her YouTube channel, along with various comic book creators, authors and personalities.

 

She is a speaker about arts and culture, appearing on DW News, Gnostic Radio, and live events.
