Conservative is the New Counterculture

A counterculture is a subculture whose values and norms of behavior differ substantially from those of mainstream society, often in opposition to mainstream cultural mores.

In 2016 being a conservative means you are part of a new counter culture. Since Socialism fails every time, there became a philosophical school of thought that stresses the reflective assessments and critique of society and culture. A critique of a culture that does work....this is where Critical Theory begins.

Critical theory describes the neo-Marxist philosophy of the Frankfurt School, which was developed in Germany in the 1930s and found a home at Columbia University in NYC and continued to permeate throughout all Universities.

I believe in intellectual diversity, so sure....I guess there's no harm in a class where you can discuss and critique society. But let's put things into context. This whole concept and field of study is created from Marxists' failed attempts and desperation.

It aims to train people to hate Capitalism and break up the family unit. But why break the family unit? They found that socialism failed because people felt more associated to their family ties and religion than to the state. If you break those things down, people are more dependent on the state, which socialism loves. These teachings have come to give birth to Political Correctness, one of the worst things to happen to free speech.

You will find on the internet that this concept is often called a "conspiracy theory". I just don't understand that. What is the theory? Please, Critical Theory students and teachers....what is critical theory and what are its origins?

Let's be critical....the definitions and history remain. White privilege is a conspiracy theory.

The 1960s had a shift where most of the baby boomers were counter culture Marxist hippies - and ever since then this type of free-love, anti-marriage, selfish do-whatever-you-want, anti-capitalism, socialism loving, adult baby feminists, has been en vogue.

It is simply not "cool" to be a conservative.

It is so cliche in the NYC art scene to be the same liberal hippy, making the same talking points as mainstream media. How ironic is that?

The true counterculture is conservatism.

Little do they know that what is really cool is thinking for yourself and not repeating mainstream media. Little do they know that as an artist you need to be an entrepreneur and engage in the capitalist system. Little do they know that conservatives want to conserve the constitution, not conserve racism and sexism. Little do they know about economics, or how to read statistical data. Little do they know how to look at a person without assessing them by race. Little do they know that Republicans are the same as classical liberals and progressives are wanna be liberals but act more like religious zealots.

I could go on and on, but I will save it for another post.

The leftists have gone on to not only permeate the universities, but the media and Hollywood. It has become hard to watch any program without noticing the jabs they take towards conservatives. They have become mainstream culture.

Now, the conservatives are the counter culture. The thing that gets me excited is people like Milo Yiannopoulos and Steven Crowder for being dope conservatives.

They get me really excited about our counterculture, its time to own it and not be shamed.
